If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.

The Burning Man

Roaming the playa of Burning Man was like traveling the vast distances as moving particles between objects in the galaxy. Coming upon one art installation in the dark, taking it in and then venturing out to find and take in another one was characterized by the slow methodical caddence of drive that fueled one onward in the dark with the sweep of the Milky Way above, the half moon setting ever closer to the horizon and the hard-packed and cracked playa below. Noises of creation and joy permeated in waves from all surrounding directions.

After experiencing this, my first Burn, I can only hope that this world, despite the Bushite damage done by the neocons and religious wingnuts, is on a true path of recovery with the substitution of free expression and harmony for that of the current environment of lies and fear .

Its hard to see that now...one can hope...there's plenty of that going around.
