Leggo My Eggo

orionian for : It's Waffle-time!!

Great episode last night on the Daily Show! ... I still don't know which part was my favorite because everything was so salient and laughable... it just has to be taken in as a whole. I suppose the most funniest parts revealed the flip-flopping of loser pundits and candidates who were at one time "for something before they were against it" or "against something before they were for it".

What this all demonstrates for people in the thinking world is that those in this vein posture themselves as these special people who write the rules for everyone that apparently don't apply to themselves. For them, breaking the rules demands no accountability because they can do whatever god-damned thing they want and in the end they can pray for forgiveness...their sins washed away. Hallelujah!

So... during the Daily Show segment with Newt Gingrich, John Stewart points out that from Sarah Palin's perspective, being pro-choice is apparently good enough for her own daughter but not for everyone else. In her own words, it's her daughter's decision to allow the embryo to full term. Would it be that everyone else be afforded the same respect. Bringing her daughter's condition into this race is commensurate with discussing the issues at hand.

Watch and enjoy

Republicans Slam Palin

Here's the story. In all fairness, Peggy Noonan (former speechwriter for Ronald Reagan and columnist for the Wall Street Journal) did later render an apology... good for her!
