Mooney Falls

One can only do so much bitching about the moron we have in the White House...we all could use a little break...give him a chance to do more moronic things.

For those who have been or never been to the Grand Canyon...the Havasupai region, just south and west of the National Park, offers quite dramatic views...a series of waterfalls flow north out of this region and into the Colorado River. One of the larger drops along this course is Mooney Falls...

We were there in the summer of 2005 before the International Coda Conference in Las Vegas.

You can't drive to Mooney Falls...you either have to hike or ride a horse to it. You can arrange to have packers pack your gear down but we decided to carry everything ourselves. We had hiked down through a gorgeous canyon to Supai and stayed at the lodge there. Others can helecopter in...which we heard flying both in and out on our own hike in. From the lodge in Supai one can spend the day hiking further down the canyon to view the waterfalls.

The water is this canyon is stunning serpentine green/turquoise blue depending on how the light hits...quite stunning. While hiking down to Supai there it rained a little and we followed the front of a slow moving river has it inched its way down the canyon. The accruing turbulence had muddied the waters downstream for a day but by the next day they had returned to their brilliance.

Very interesting. Can you tell me the name of the song you used for this clip?
