Believe me, I would love to talk more about particle physics, cosmology, and consciouness. In doing so, one learns more while explaining it; but the current temptation sprouted legs this morning when, according to Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post, Nikki Haley rid her website of Mark Sanford's photo. Something was in the air.
Sure enough, right on the heels of Senator John Ensign's (R) admission of an ongoing affair and after a loooong string of similar improprieties by various members of the GOP (that we do not need to list because it would take too much space)... South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford (R) just confessed under extreme media pressure that he'd been having an extramarital affair with a woman in South America and that's the reason he vanished without a trace for five days to Argentina:
...and he apparently has the balls to ask for forgiveness. Can you believe that! Left his four boys, fatherless on Father's Day. Party of Family Values?? I don't think so ... next thing, you know, they'll be asking forgiveness for incest and bestiality ... in all actuality, who the f#$% cares.
Accolades and thanks to blogger and podcaster Ragan Fox, for introducing the public to the concept of hypoChristians. Maybe after the Sanford stunt, it'll take off.
